Fantastic Fall Conference

Fall Leadership Conference is in the books!

Your State Officer Team would like to send a heartfelt “thank you” to the 106 participants that attended Fall Conference this year!  We had so much fun and learned a few things along the way!  Many thanks as well to Jim Mathis of WyoTech in Laramie for catching us all up on the continued success of their program.  You can read all about it here!

Our Conference was themed around some pretty famous mountains and landmarks.

The student breakouts began with Hell’s Half Acre (eh hem, your Program of Work, of course….sometimes daunting but ALWAYS powerful and rewarding), this IS your year to make the best of your PoW; GO FOR IT!

Next up in the rotation, Gannett Peak Goals – SMART Goals, of course (SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ATTAINABLE, REALISTIC and TIME BOUND).  Dalton Chapman and Spencer Kellner broke the group into teams and “Shark Tanked” them on ideas for fundraising!

How about the Teton Team Building session? Sam Perkins and Grace Edwards got everyone really thinking about how teams are formed, broken, and rebuilt.  What a great question and answer session.

Finally, everyone busted a gut playing some fun games (and learning along the way!) with Rhyley Daro and Bridgette Klasinski.  4 Peaks focused on a more in-depth approach to your leadership journey and everyone received a copy of the SkillsUSA Four Pillars!

Hilton Garden Inn provided a wonderful lunch and we were grateful to hear from Jeff Rodenberg of Casey Industrial.  Jeff educated us on CTE trends as they affect his industry and the nation.  Seriously awesome presentation!  Thank you again to our advisors for traveling to Casper for the SkillsUSA Wyoming Fall Leadership Conference.  Here’s to everyone’s SkillsUSA Journey!
